What can I ask you to find?
Almost any legitimate personal or local service: home repairs, tutors, wellness professionals, event help, pet care, ride shares, home cooks, specialty advisors and more. Describe the result you want rather than worrying about a category.
How is this different from a directory?
You do not browse a long list and make every call yourself. We use your exact brief to source a small set of vetted options, so you can move from searching to choosing.
What does the finder fee cover?
The finder fee covers the concierge work of sourcing and presenting suitable options. The professional’s own fee is separate and shown before you approve a booking.
How fast will I receive options?
Standard requests are usually sourced within 48 hours. Premium requests receive priority sourcing, usually within 4 hours. Timing depends on having enough detail and on availability for highly specialized requests.
Do you book the person for me?
Standard gives you up to 2–3 vetted options to choose and book. Premium includes price negotiation, full booking management and follow-up, so you do not have to coordinate the details.
When do I pay?
At the same time as your request. After you submit your brief, you’re taken straight to secure checkout (powered by Stripe) — Standard is $4.99 CAD per request, Premium white-glove is $999 CAD per request. Nothing is sourced until payment succeeds.
Privacy Policy
What we collect. When you submit a request, we collect the details you provide: what you need, your city, budget, timing, and your contact information (name, email, phone/WhatsApp).
How we use it. We use your information only to source and deliver your request — matching you with professionals from our vetted network and communicating with you about it.
Who processes it. Request data is transmitted through Formspree to our team, and payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not sell your personal information.
Your rights. You can ask us to correct or delete your information at any time by emailing hello@askonce.org.
Terms of Service
What AskOnce is. AskOnce is a concierge service. We research and shortlist independent professionals from our vetted network for your request. We are not the service provider — any work is performed by the independent professional you choose, under whatever terms you agree with them directly.
Our fee is separate. The concierge fee you pay at checkout ($4.99 CAD Standard, $999 CAD Premium) covers our sourcing work only. The professional's own charges are separate and paid by you to them.
What we can't take. We decline requests that are illegal, unsafe, or that we cannot reasonably source. If we decline your request before sourcing begins, you receive a full refund of the concierge fee.
Your brief. You are responsible for providing accurate details. Sourcing timelines depend on the detail you provide and on professional availability.
Refund Policy
Standard ($4.99 CAD). If we cannot deliver any vetted options within the stated sourcing window, you receive a full refund. Once your shortlist is delivered, the concierge fee is non-refundable because the sourcing work is complete.
Premium ($999 CAD). If we cannot begin priority sourcing within the stated window, you receive a full refund. If we begin work and you cancel before any options are delivered, we refund 50%. After options are delivered, the fee is non-refundable.
How to request. Email hello@askonce.org with your booking reference. Refunds go back to your original payment method via Stripe.
